Anatole COLLINET MAKOSSO succeeds Clément MOUAMBA as head of government.

The Head of State has appointed a new Prime Minister on Wednesday night he is Anatole Collinet Makosso, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the outgoing government. Anatole Collinet Makosso is appointed prime minister to replace Clément Muamba, in office since 2016, indicates a decree read at night on public television by the chief of staff of the President of the Republic. Anatole Collinet Makosso, born in 1965 in Pointe-Noire, began his political career in 1990. He was himself an adviser and chief of staff to the Governor of Kouilou. A teacher by training, a writer, he became an advisor to the president since 1998, then chief of staff to the first lady Antoinette Sassou Nguesso. He entered the government as Minister of Youth and Social Physical Education in 2011. Since 2016, he served as Minister of Primary and Secondary Education in charge of literacy. Anatole Collinet Makosso was deputy campaign manager for candidate Sassou Nguesso during the last presidential elections on March 21, 2021. The new prime minister now has the difficult task of forming a new government that will implement President Denis Sasssou N ‘ guesso.
