Closure of the Albino Skin Cancer Campaign.

The Association for the fight against the protection of albinos in the Republic of Congo, has closed the campaign of skin cancer in albinos that had been developing since last January 2021. This ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Equatorial Guinea accredited to the government of Brazzaville Samuel Ateba Owono Iyanga. During three months, specialist technicians have diagnosed around three hundred patients, many have been referred to the clinic for subsequent evacuation in specialized centers. In addition, the president of the association Jhony Chancel Ngouana extended his thanks to the diplomats of Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and the Russian Federation for his presence. On the other hand, the president of the association for the fight against the protection of albinos congratulated the sponsors for the trust they have placed in the association, after telling those present that skin cancer in albinos is the cause of most of the deaths of this social class. However, he has indicated that both consultation, hospitalization and drugs are totally free for albinos in the clinic. In addition, in Africa, people with albinism hardly exceed 40 years of age, since their greatest enemy is the sun itself. Given the impossibility of using protective creams and due to their daily overexposure to solar radiation, they end up developing skin lesions, also indicated by Jhony Chancel Ngouana, the meeting ended with a visit to the clinic and a snack for the guests.
