The Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Claude Gakosso, representing the Head of State H.E. Denís Sassou N’guesso, has preceded the award ceremony of the Congolese order of merit to the Ambassador of Senegal Batoura Kane Niang, after having successfully completed her diplomatic mission in the Republic of Congo.
The headquarters of the Congolese Foreign Ministry has been the place chosen for the development of this act of farewell to the Senegalese diplomat, whose meeting began with the reading of the decree that decorated Batoura Kane Niang with the Congolese order of merit at the rank of commentator , read by the Grand Chancellor of National Orders Norbert Okiokoutina, in the presence of the new Minister of International Cooperation for public and private investors Denís Christel Sassou N’Guesso, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Brazzaville executive.
Very moved by the distinction, the Senegalese diplomat thanked the Congolese head of state for the confidence and interest in granting him this honor at the successful completion of his diplomatic mission, which she also extended to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their frank collaboration and loyal, for almost ten years at the head of his country’s diplomatic mission in the Republic of Congo.
Emphasize that, on the same day and before this ceremony, the President of the Republic, Head of State SEDenís Sassou N’guesso, also received in audience the Ambassador of Senegal Batoura Kane Niang, this meeting held in the people’s palace de Brazzaville has allowed the Senegalese diplomat to officially say goodbye to the president, after finishing her diplomatic mission in Congo-brazzaville.
